Line Item Edits Report

The Line Item Edits Report displays information about every line item that has been Edited or Deleted. The report shows information both about the line item itself as well as the changes that were made to it. The report essentially brings each order’s ‘Post Approval Order Line Item History’ into a singular location for easy access.

Before using this report, we recommend you have the following set up:

Report Search and Results

There are a handful of search fields you can use to find the changes you are looking for. You can filter the report by the user who made the edit, the update date range, company, order rep, publication, and change type (Edited or Deleted).

  • The data will be displayed in table format, containing information about the edited item. You will be able to see both information about the line item, and information about the change that was made to the item.

    • The company and order number fields are both quick links which will bring you to either the specific order, or the company’s page in the system.

    • When clicked on, the values in the Line Item ID column will prompt a pop-up which will vary depending on your user permissions and the item. If you have the User Permission ‘Edit Line Items and Sales Splits’, and you click on the Line Item ID for an item that has not been deleted, then you will see the Edit Line Item pop-up where you can make further changes to the item. If the item was deleted, you will no longer be able to edit the item. Similarly, if you do not have the User Permission ‘Edit Line Items and Sales Splits’, you will not be able to edit any item on the report by clicking on the Line Item ID.

    • Each item will also show information about the change that was made. You will be able to see the date and time of the update as well as the user who made the change. When applicable (for ad items), the record will display the previous and current issue, and the previous and current net. Perhaps most importantly, each item will also show whether the change was an Edit or a Deletion, as well as what was edited/deleted. Any deleted items will display the reason for deletion entered by the user who deleted the item. Any edited items provide information about the change that was made.

      • Some examples of edits are Due Date Changed from 3/1 to 3/5, or Quantity Changed from 4 to 5 Total Changed to $300.
