Proposal Templates

You can create a collection of proposal templates for your team to leverage when sending out a proposal to a prospect or customer. Users can also create or modify a proposal template on the fly when creating a new proposal.

  • You must have permission to templates in order to add or edit a proposal template. Go to Settings > Templates > Proposal Templates and Click on create a template. You must select a contract template to go along with the proposal template. The contract template is needed to build the price table and when converting an approved proposal into an order.

  • Start building a template by adding a section. Use sections to group content and track what a prospect is reviewing in the client center. The section name will also show up on a proposal table of contents.

  • Once you have a section set up, you can start adding different elements: Text, Gallery, Price Table, HTML, PDF Page Break, and Summary Table.

  • The Text and Gallery images are the simplest way to build out your content. You can do simple styling and formatting of your text and then added an image below with the Gallery option.

  • The HTML element gives you the most flexibility to control how your proposal looks. You can add HTML code directly into the editor. You can also add merge tags by clicking on the merge select field.

  • In order for a customer to approve a proposal, you must have a price table. We recommend you add your Price and Summary table towards the end of a proposal.

  • If you want to make sure your team doesn’t change or removes content, use the locking feature.

  • After you have completed your proposal, you can view it to see how your sections will display to a prospect. Click on the section name to review your content.

If you don’t want to start a proposal from scratch, you can clone a proposal and edit/add new content.
