How to Use the Dropbox Integration
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > File Sharing Accounts and click Add Account. In the pop-up, select Dropbox for the Account Type. You will then be able to name the account, and select a base folder for your file uploads to be added to in your Dropbox account. For the Process Type, you will need to select ‘Ticket Files’.
There are two possible ways you can take advantage of the Dropbox integration. Depending on whether your system configuration ‘Export ticket files to a single folder’ is set to yes or no, your ticket files uploaded in the system will be organized in Dropbox differently. If set to 'No' all system filed will go over to Dropbox into your base folder. If set to Yes, your system will create a folder structure based on the file name. No matter which setting you choose, the instructions below go over when and how an assets goes over to Dropbox.
Once you have your site set up for the Dropbox integration, files uploaded to your tickets will be added to their corresponding Dropbox folders. Navigate to a specific ticket, and go to the Upload Files section.
You can upload files to your tickets the same way you could before the integration. Click ‘choose file’ to select the item you want to upload to the ticket.
When a file is successfully uploaded to the ticket, you will be able to find that file in your Dropbox account. All of the files will be added to the ‘base folder’ that you configured when setting up your integration, and will be sorted from there.
The system configuration ‘Export ticket files by status’ allows you to choose whether Final, Non-Final, or All files uploaded to print and digital ad tickets will be synced with your Dropbox account. By default, this configuration is set to Non-Final.
When the configuration is set to Non-Final, all files uploaded to the ticket will be synced with your Dropbox account unless the file is marked as final artwork.
If the configuration is set to Final, only ticket files marked as final will be brought into Dropbox. Any other ticket files uploaded will not sync between the systems.
When the configuration is set to All, both final and non-final files will be brought into Dropbox.
Note
For digital media and service tickets, there is no marking of files as final, which means that all files uploaded to digital media or service tickets will sync with Dropbox.
No matter which setting is used for this configuration, your files will be brought into Dropbox using the same method of organization - either a single base folder, or by using your system’s alias names, depending on how you set up the integration.
