Open Pages Report

The Open Pages Report shows page and inventory availability based on ad size. Use this report to see your open, pending, and placed pages, as well as page availability details. You can also use the report to view impression inventory data, including pending and sold impressions based on size and frequency.

Before using this report, we recommend you have the following set up:

Report Search and Results

To run this report, you simply need to select an Issue Year, which is set as the current year by default. If you would like to view results for a specific Issue Month, then you can either view results for all publications, or for a single publication. If, however, you would like to view data for all months, then you will be restricted to viewing a specific publication – you will not be able to view all months and all publications at the same time to prevent the report from becoming too cluttered.

  • Depending on if the publication is print or digital, and if there are premium positions for the issue, the results in the tables will vary.

    • Print Publications

      • Page Statistics: For all print publications that fit the search criteria, you will see a Page Statistics table, which will be titled with the publication and issue names. The Page Statistics table is based on the MagBuilder layout for that issue. For each ad size listed in the table, you will see the number of open pages in the layout for that ad size, the number of pending ads (in the Runsheet), and the number of placed ads. For each ad size, you will also be able to view the Page Availability, which lists all of the page numbers that are open for that ad size. By clicking on Show Page Detail, you will display the Page Ad Size Availability table.

      • Page Ad Size Availability: This table breaks down the Page Availability by page number. For each open page, you will see the page number, the page’s ad size, and the available slots on the page. For example, if you have a ¼ sq ad size, then there could be 4 available slots for ads to be placed on that page. You can choose to collapse this table by clicking Hide Page Detail.

      • Premium Positions: If there is inventory set for premium positions on the issue, then there will be a second table displaying inventory information. For each premium position, there will be the available inventory, as well as how many are open, pending, and sold, allowing you to easily keep track of your premium positions.

    • Digital Publications

      • Impressions: The tables that show up for digital publications are based on impression digital media products. Each table will be titled with the issue name and will show inventory information based on impression size. For each size, there will be the available inventory, the amount open, pending, and sold for each frequency type. If there is no inventory set, then there will be an infinity symbol instead.
