Connecting Your QuickBooks Online Account
You can sync your QBO accounting and payments to the system. Only one QBO company can be connected at one time.
To connect your account, go to Settings > Integrations > QuickBooks. Click on Connect your QuickBooks account. You will get taken to the app center page for intuit to login to your Quickbooks online account.
Once you log in, you will be asked to choose which company you want to use; you can only choose one. You must give permission to Intuit to share data with Aysling Accounting.
After your account is connected, you can choose your customer display name setting and add a default tax code. The display name field is for QBO. The system will populate the QBO display name with either the company name or the billing contact’s name. The default tax code is only required for non-us QBO accounts.
There is also an option to Ignore $0 line items when pushing invoices. By default, this configuration is set to no, which means $0 line items and invoices will be sent to QBO. If set to yes, then the system will bypass any $0 line items when pushing invoices to QBO and they will not be processed.
You should also review the ‘Sync payments created in QBO to Ad Orbit’ setting. When this setting is turned off, payments made in the system will be pushed to QBO, but any payments made within QBO will not sync back into the system. When enabled, payments will sync from both systems; payments made within QBO will be applied to invoices within the system and vice versa.
Note
Payments made in QBO to fee invoices will not be brought back into Ad Orbit even if your 'Sync payments created in QBO to Ad Orbit' setting is enabled.
You can also connect your QuickBooks payment account to your system. You will need to go through the same process of connecting your account. Contact your representative to make sure QuickBooks is enabled as your credit card processor; this setting is internal and can only be updated by an internal user.
Once your system is connected, you can start pushing over companies, subscribers, and payables information. The system will see if there are matching company in QBO to connect, but if the company names are different will create a new company
Important
We recommend you check the company names in the system match your QBO company names before integrating. Talk to your representative if there are any concerns before syncing accounts.
