Assigning Writers and Photographers
If you need to outsource work for an upcoming editorial to a writer or photographer, you can create a new Vendor Contact, assign them to an Editorial with a budget, capture their signature on an Agreement, and give them access to Vendor Center to supply you with materials. You will then be able to view and manage the status of the assignment from the Editorial Ticket.
Editorials can be assigned to internal resources, but if you plan to use a vendor to help with the work then there must be a Vendor and Vendor Contact in the system before you can start assigning editorials. If the Vendor has not been set up yet, this can be done at the same time you create a new Vendor Contact. Review Create a Vendor and Vendor Contact.
Click + Add a New Editorial in the top right corner. Fill out the basic details for your assignment. The assignment must have a Title, Publication, and be for at least one Issue.
Other options you can choose are Build Size, Length (In Pages), and Editorial Category, but these are not required to create the assignment.
Go to the editorial ticket and show the vendor contact on the ticket and the status of the approval.
A writer/photographer can either accept via an email link or, if you want them to sign off on the work, assign an agreement template to the editorial and they must sign the agreement in Vendor Center.
