Production
Gives a user access to the Production tab. This tab is where all aspects of production are handled.
- Missing Ads Access
Gives a user access to the missing ads report. This report will show artwork information for ads in a specific pub and issue. A user will be able to choose certain ticket statuses to not show in this report, for example “ad arrived” or “done”.
- Undo Production Checklist Items (Head of Production only)
Gives a user the ability to mark completed items on the ticket checklists as incomplete.
- House Ads
Gives a user the ability to create and edit existing house ads.
Gives a user access to MagBuilder, the flat-planning tool.
- Magbuilder Privileges
These permissions will give a user specific abilities inside of the flat-planning tool, Magbuilder.
- Re-Order pages
Gives a user the ability to re-order pages in an issue.
- Change Page Templates
Gives a user the ability to change page templates in an issue. An example of this would be changing a full page ad to a page with two ½ horizontal ads.
- Change Page Type (Ad/Editorial)
Gives a user the ability to change the page type on a page in the issue. This can be changing the page from displaying an ad to displaying an editorial or vice versa.
- Change Ad Categories
Gives a user the ability to change the category of an ad on a page in the issue. This will restrict ads not in that category from being placed on that page.
- Change Editorial Categories
Gives a user the ability to change the category of an editorial on a page in the issue. This will restrict editorials not in that category from being placed on that page.
- Change TBD Categories
Gives a user the ability to change the TBE category of a page in the issue.
- Place Ads
Gives a user the ability to place ads from the runsheet in an issue.
- Place Pending Ads
Allows a user to place ad items that have not been fully approved into MagBuilder. These items will show up in your MagBuilder run sheet if your system automatically creates tickets upon the initial order approval.
- Place Editorial
Gives a user the ability to place editorials from the runsheet in an issue.
- Place House Ads
Gives a user the ability to place house ads in an issue.
- Override Category Separation Rules
Gives a user the ability to place an ad even if it breaks the category separation requirement. You should enable the category separation configuration before using this permission.
- Clear Placement
Gives a user the ability to clear ads and editorials that have been placed in an issue and puts them back on the runsheet.
- Add/Delete Pages
Gives a user the ability to add new pages to an issue or delete pages.
- Upload Final Pages to All Books
Gives a user the ability to upload final pages to an issue.
- Lock/Unlock Book
Gives a user the ability to lock an issue in Magbuilder. This will restrict others from editing it. A user will also have the ability to unlock any issues with this permission.
Gives a user access to the editorial center. Here a user will be able to see how many articles have been added to each issue.
- View Details
Gives a user the ability to click on each issue in the editorial center and see the articles in that issue.
- Edit Details
Gives a user the ability to edit the details of an article in an issue.
- Delete Editorials
Gives a user the ability to delete articles from an issue.
- Create Editorials that are Over Budget
Allows a user to create new editorials even if the budget amount is over the issue budget
Gives a user access to the service scheduling calendar. This calendar will show all of the services which will change color based on what status the service is currently at.
- Edit Details
Gives a user the ability to edit the blocks on the Service Scheduling page. Without the permission, users can view the Service Scheduling page, but not make any changes.
Users with this permission can access the Reserved Product Scheduler. The Scheduler is only used for Reserved digital media products within the system, and is the tool that allows the production team to schedule the sold products.
- Edit Details
With the edit details permission, users can schedule, unschedule, and edit items from the Reserved Product Scheduler. Without the permission, users can view the Scheduler but cannot make changes.
- Schedule Products Out of Range
Allows a user to place products in the Scheduler outside of their scheduled run date ranges, up to 6 months prior to the start run date, and 6 months after the scheduled end run date. Without the permission, users will be required to schedule items within their scheduled run dates.
The system has built-in checklists for ad and editorial tickets with the corresponding sections – designer, copy editor, managing editor, art director, trafficking and sales director. A user can be given permission to mark tasks in each section as complete. The tasks for each section can be configured in Settings > Tickets >Ticket Checklist.
