Sales Analytics Reports

The Sales Analytics Report is available for all instances that have full or partial DataWarehouse access. If you do not have DataWarehouse access and want to know about your options, reach out to your support representative. The report shows sales by rep, publisher, and company breakout. It also allows you to search for sales within certain sold date and delivery ranges, so you can see how your sales are performing over time.

There are no required fields in order to run this report. You can filter results by rep, sold date range, publication, and delivery date range. The rep and publication filters are both multi-selects, so you can pick and choose which results you want displayed. If you don’t choose any, the report will show results for all publications and reps. Both date range filters are single selects, but you can also choose not to filter by a particular date range, in which case the report will show sales for all time. This report also allows you to choose how the results are displayed. For the first graph, you can choose between a bar or a column display, and choose whether to group the report by rep, publication, or company. For the second report’s graph, you can change the display between a pie chart, and a donut.

When the report is run, no matter which displays and groupings you selected, you will see three distinct representations of the data.

Bar/Column Chart: The first graph is either presented in bar or column format depending on which display you selected. One axis of the graph will show the grouping of the data that you selected - this could be your system’s publications, reps, or companies – and the other axis will be the sales numbers. By hovering over one of the bars or columns, you can see the exact sales amount for that rep, company, or publication.
Table: Each report will also represent the data in a simple table format. The information in the table is the same as the bar/column chart. You will see the sales numbers for the selected sold date range, broken down by rep, company, or publication.
Pie/Donut Chart: Finally, every time this report is run, there will also be a pie or donut chart displayed. Like the bar/column chart and the table, the pie/donut chart will show the sales for the chosen sold date range, broken down by company, rep, or publication. However, the pie/donut chart also shows percentages, that the other two graphs do not. This allows you to more easily compare how your companies, reps, and publications are performing. For example, you could see that one of your publications is accounting for 70% of your total sales for a specific time period, whereas another publication is only accounting for 10%.
