Enable this setting if you want to view and modify a sales rep commission during the finance approval step. This configuration is only relevant if you perform finance approval on orders and have sales rep commissions for your sales team.

You can also update commissions on 100% confirmed orders. Go to the Orders tab on the company details page, click on the ellipse action, and click on the commission actions.

You can split up commissions for an order based on publication/brand and rep.  You can choose which publication/brand should be split and assign the amount of the split to each rep associated with the company. Each rep must also have a commission model and plan.

You will not be able to create an order for a company that doesn’t have an order split. You will find the option to split a rep’s commission on the Company Details page. When you click on the edit link, you will need to select a publication/brand and rep. Once you have all of your reps selected, you can choose the order split percentages.  The percentages must equal 100%.

You can give your sales rep a commission kicker, based on sales attainment.  The attainment kicker is based on the total contract value sold in a year or the total value of invoices sales in a year.  Once a rep sells enough to reach that goal, they will get the bonus amount on the last day of the commission period when they achieved the goal.  You can view the commission attainment report to track your reps progress.

If you choose to make your commission attainment based on invoice sales, you need to determine how long you wish to credit your sales reps orders. Enter the number of days after the order sales date that the order must be invoiced in order for the sales rep to get credit.  For example, if you set the period to 90 days but the order isn’t invoiced until 120 days after the order was sold, the order will not count for the sales rep attainment goal.

This will determine if you want to give a sales rep credit for the sale of an item after it has been delivered.  If the item isn’t paid for by the number of months you choose, the sales rep will not get commission for the item.

This will determine if you want to give a sales rep credit for the sales if they are on an invoice that is past due.  For example, if you choose 90 days and an item is on an invoice that is 95 days past due, the sales rep will not get credit for the sale.

Determine which date commissions payouts are to be displayed in the commission reports.  You can choose to view by the payment posted date or by the issue reporting date.  The system default is to show the reports based on payment posted date.

The number of days a sales reps has to review the previous periods commissions.  For example, if you choose 10 days, the sales rep will have 10 days to review last month’s commissions to approve or reject the amount.

Specifies which date is used to determine what the commission plan is in effect. By default, the system will use the sale date on the order to determine which commission plan was in effect at that time. It is also possible to use the issue date (for advertising sales only) to determine what commission plan is in effect. For example, a user could have a comp plan set to 1/1/2017 with a commission rate of 5%, and the same user also could have a comp plan of 1/1/2018 with a commission rate of 6%. In this scenario, if using the issue date to determine the plan, an ad item on an issue with a reporting date between 1/1/2017-12/31/2017 will get a rate of 5% and any ad item with a reporting date of 1/1/2018 or later will get a rate of 6%. These ad items could be on the same order but result in different commission rates being applied.
