Set up and use the Aysling Gmail Add-On

Connect your Gmail Inbox directly with your systems to easily add emails to your CRM, view details about a contact before sending emails, or add a new contact from your inbox. All you need to do to install the Add-on is go to the Google Market place, agree to the terms and conditions, and sign into your system account.

Note

You may have more than one site you work in, but you can only connect to one account at a time. You will see a list of valid accounts to choose from when logging in if you have more than one.

  • When you are logged into your Gmail Account, you can go to the + button the right of the page to install a new add-on.

  • Search for 'Aysling' in the market place search. Click on the logo to install the Add-on. You will go through the process of selecting which Gmail account to connect and agreeing to the terms and conditions of using the integration.

  • After you have the add-on installed, click on the Aysling icon on the right of the page and then open up any email to start the process of logging into your instance. Use the email and password you use to login into your system every day.

  • Once you are authorized, you can start using the Add-on to view and add contacts, add email activities, and view company details.

  • When you click on a email in your inbox, the system will pre-filter the contact search using the email address, but you can override it by typing in the name or email of the contact you want. When viewing an email, click on the ellipse action and click 'Add Email Activity' to record the email to a specific contact. You can add the email to as many contacts as you want.

  • If the contact is NOT in the system, you can add a contact by going to the ellipse action from the contact search. We will populate the name and email based on the sender of the email in your inbox. You can add additional information to the add contact form to complete the records.

  • As you click into a contact or company records, you will see a link to 'Open in Site.' Clicking on this will take you to the contact, company, or activity page in your instance. The system will open a new tab so you don't lose your spot in your Gmail inbox.
