Billing Report
The billing report shows you ad or service items by month that are invoiceable. The report will show you the billing information for each item, including billing note, billing contact information, invoice status, and amount.
You can find the billing report under Reports > Finance > Billing Report.
Before running the report, use edit display fields to setup the fields in your report and how they display. You can choose what columns you want to show in the results.
Note
Company, Invoiced, Gross, Cash, and Barter will always show in the report.
You can choose how you want the report to sort by. You can manually re-sort the report by clicking on the column headings.
You can choose to add striping to the report to make the report easier to read and you can choose to set the default results returned when running the report.
There are multiple filter options on the report. The Report Month and Year use your issue reporting date to find ad. For example, if I run the report for January 2020, the system will return all ad items sold on an issue with a reporting date on or between 1/1/2020 – 1/31/2020.
Services show on the report based on the service billing date. If the billing date is in the selected Report Month and Year the service will show up. You can also associate a service with a publication. A common service to create is a design.
To view results based on installment billing schedules, check the ‘Adjust for Installment Schedule’ option. When this option is chosen, any items on an installment order will show up based on their installment billing schedule, rather than their delivery dates. An individual line item will be shown for each installment schedule that is within the timeframe searched, rather than a line for each line item.
Note
If you are searching using this option, we also recommend adding the ‘Schedule Bill Date’ Display Field to the report, which shows the date of the installment schedule.
You can return your results and generate a PDF of the report. You can also export or save/share your report.
