Create Volume Discounts for Circulation Based Sales
You can give your customers tiered volume-based discounts when they buy into more territories, zones, or splits. The volume discount kicks in as the line item circulation amount goes up. The more circulation the customer buys, the lower the per-unit rate for the ad. You can only use volume discounts if you use territory and zones issues and a rate card with the type of territory, zones, and splits.
Click on the actions on the rate card to edit the volume discount. Click on the add discount range to enter the circulation range and the rate per frequency for the range.
When on the order form, the rates will change as you add more zones/circulation to the order. In the example below the first discount happens for circulation between 10000 and 20000.
After another zone is added to the line item, the circulation increases to 30000, so the system will use the rate in the 20000 to 40000 range.
You can't edit a pending line item with volume discounts; you have to delete the line item and re-enter if needed.
