Timesheet

The Timesheet Report allows you to view hours recorded to timesheets based on date range. Depending on your permissions, you may be able to view timesheet entries for all users, or recode previous timesheet hours. There are multiple views for the report, depending on how large or small the date range searched is.

Before using this report, we recommend you have the following set up:

  • Timesheets

  • User Groups

  • Vendors

  • Dynamic Attributes

  • Projects

  • To access the report, you must have the User Permission ‘HR Access.’

    • To view information for all reps, not just your own data, you must have the sub-permission ‘Timesheets (All Users).’

Report Search and Results

There are a few search fields you can leverage to narrow down your results for this report, including vendor, vendor contact, start and end dates, and project dynamic attributes. If you have the permission to view all users, then you can also filter the report by specific user or user group.

  • The table shows each task the user is assigned to, and how many hours they have recorded to their timesheet for each task based on the date range selected. The tasks will be grouped by project, and the table view will change slightly depending on how large or small the date range searched is.

    • Day View: If the date range searched is for three weeks or less, then the table columns will be individual days, and the hours that display will be the number of recorded hours for that day and task. If you have the User Permission to ‘Recode User Timesheet Report Entries’, then by clicking on one of the hour values, you will get a pop-up where you can edit the hours and tasks. For more information about recoding hours, click here.

    • Week View: If the date range is larger than three weeks, then the table columns will change to be weeks rather than individual days. The hours that show up in the columns will represent the total hours recorded for that task during that week. To view hours for individual days, you can click on the week column header, which will open up a pop-up displaying the daily hours for that week.

    • Month View: If the date range is six months or larger, then the columns will be for months rather than weeks. The hours that show up in the columns will be the total hours recorded for that task over the course of the entire month. There are no pop-ups that can be viewed from the Month View due to how large the date range is.
