Production Report

The report shows data about print and digital ad items that are important for the production team, including ad size, ticket ID, position/channel, MagBuilder page number, and current status. You can go to the ticket page, edit the ticket status, and send artwork reminders directly from the report.

Before using this report, we recommend you have the following set up:

Report Search and Results

There are over a dozen search fields on this report you can use to narrow down the results, including fields such as publication and issue, ad size, ticket status, rep, position/channel, and even ticket and order dynamic attributes. You can also choose whether to include or exclude proposal and deleted items in the report. When the report is run, the data will display in a table format. There are a handful of columns which will always show up on the report, but you can use edit the Display Fields to add more information to the table. There may be multiple tables displayed in the report results, depending on your search criteria. You will see a table for each issue that fits your search results. Underneath each issue table, you will see a small summary table which shows the Total Page Count for that issue.

  • Depending on which Display Fields you are using, the tables will show order and ticket information for each item.

    • Customer: The customer names in this column are quick links which will redirect you to the company's page in the system

    • Note vs. Status Note: The Note column shows any Ad Notes that are set on the line item, whereas the Status Note column shows any relevant notes from when the ticket’s status was last updated. This could either be something from the system such as ‘New File Uploaded’, or it could be the user’s notes entered when they changed the status.

    • Classified Text: Only relevant for classified ads, any text added to a classified line item will display here.

    • Page #: The MagBuilder icon in the Page # column is a quick link which brings you to the MagBuilder layout for that issue. If the ad has been paginated, then the page number the ad is placed on will show up in this column next to the MagBuilder icon.

    • Approval Status: The default status for this column is ‘Pending Artwork’. Once the final artwork is chosen for a ticket, the status will be changed to ‘Final Artwork’ and the checkmark will show up in green.

    • Any items which show up highlighted in yellow are for pending sales. You can choose to exclude these by searching for only 100% approved orders in the Probability field.

  • There are a handful of actions you can perform from the report. By using the ellipsis actions on an item, you can either view the ticket, or edit the ticket status. In the pop-up, you can choose to include notes with your status update.

  • You can also perform bulk updates by using the check boxes. Check at least one item to use the bulk actions.

    • The Update Selected Tickets action will prompt a pop-up where you can choose to mark the selected tickets as done, update the ticket owner or update the ticket status. Depending on which action you choose, you may need to enter additional information before you can apply the change.

    • The Individual and Grouped E-Mail Artwork Notification actions allow you to send artwork reminders directly from the report. In the pop-ups, you can choose which email template to use, as well as whether or not you would like to CC the order rep.

    • Use the E-Mail Proof Request action to immediately send a proof request to your client for the selected tickets. It should be noted that this action will only work if there is a file uploaded to the ticket.
