Bulk Syncing Contacts to HubSpot
Not only can you push an individual contact to HubSpot from their Contact Overview page, there is also the ability to Bulk Push contacts to HubSpot. To bulk push contacts, navigate to the Contact Search page. The system will either create a new HubSpot record or update the data in HubSpot for the contact. There is a filter on the search to find contacts that are already in HubSpot.
Tip
If you will be using the HubSpot integration, we highly recommend setting the system configuration ‘Require Unique Addresses on Contacts’ to yes, because HubSpot does not allow for any duplicate emails.
To bulk push contact go to Contacts > Contact Search. Use the filters to find the contacts that you want to create or update in HubSpot.
Tip
There is a filter on the search to find contacts that are already in HubSpot.
When you run the search, use the checkboxes on the left side of the table to select all of the contacts you want to push to HubSpot. Once you have all the desired contacts selected, click on the Bulk Update Action and select Push To HubSpot.
The system will return one of three messages:
Created: The contact's email wasn't in HubSpot. The contact will now show up in HubSpot and have a HubSpot ID.
Updated: The contact already was in HubSpot or the email was in HubSpot. The system had a HubSpot ID so the system pushed over any data that changed since the last sync.
Failed: There was a problem with the contact. You can find the exact error by going to Settings > Data Import/Export > HubSpot Error Log. The error logs will show the contact or company, as well as give a reason why the sync failed.
Now that your contacts are synced with HubSpot, you can start using the contact in HubSpot and pull in more data to the contact record.
