Set up Categories
A category is used to determine what type of products your Advertisers can buy. All companies must have at least one category, but they could have many. You can use your company categories to connect to specific publications and find companies that should advertise in those publications. There are reports that show your sales by category, and you can restrict what ad is placed in MagBuilder by assigning a page a category.
A category in Aysling is what type of business your customers are in. All companies must have a primary category; a company can have additional secondary categories. You can use the category to help you find companies for future campaigns and track sales results based on category.
Go to Settings > Contact Setup > Company Categories.
To the top right is a plus sign icon for Add Category. You need to add the following fields
Name – The name will show up in your system dropdowns.
Page Separation – The page separation will show up on your snapshot reports and can prevent a user from placing two ads too close to each other in MagBuilder.
Parent Category – You can create a hierarchy of categories and make a category a child of another. For example, you could have a parent category called restaurants and a child called Italian.
SIC Code – Enter for your reference.Click the Save Button.You can now assign your category to your advertisers.
