Use Lead Statuses in Workflows
You can use Lead Statuses in automation to either trigger actions or you can use a trigger to modify a Lead Status. Below are a few examples of how to use Lead Statuses in Automation Workflows.
You must create a contact workflow to leverage your Lead Statuses. You can use either an active or inactive workflow.
To trigger an action using lead status, you must use an active workflow. In the example below, the lead status is used to add a contact to a new list and creates a to-do. The system is finding any user with a lead status of engaged and adding them to a list. You can use the list in a future drip campaign. The system is also creating a to-do for the owner to follow-up in 5 days.
You can update a lead status in an inactive or active workflow. In the example, the lead status for a contact is going to get updated if the contact has been inactive for 14 days. Any contact not updated within that window will get a new lead status of ‘Dead’.
